Checkboxes

The Checkboxes option type is ideal for allowing customers to make multiple selections from a list of options on the product page. Each checkbox represents an individual option, giving customers the flexibility to choose more than one item or feature.

Basic Option Settings:

1. Option Name

This is the internal name used to identify this group of checkboxes within your app. It helps keep your options organized and easily manageable.

2. Label on Product

This label appears next to the checkboxes on the product page, helping customers understand what the options represent (e.g., "Additional Features" or "Select Toppings").

3. Label on Cart

This label is displayed in the shopping cart, checkout, order details, invoices, packing slips, order confirmation emails, and other order-related documents to show which options were selected by the customer, providing clarity on their choices.

4. Option Values

Each checkbox option includes an image icon (supported formats: .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .webp) and a text label. The image helps visually represent the option, while the text describes it. You can add these values individually or in bulk for efficiency.

5. Required Field

This setting makes it mandatory for customers to select at least one checkbox option before adding the product to their cart, ensuring they make a choice.

6. Hide "Label on Product"

If you prefer a cleaner look, you can hide the label next to the checkboxes on the product page, focusing solely on the checkbox options.

7. One Time Charge

This setting allows you to modify how additional charges are applied to a specific option value. Normally, the extra charge for an option is multiplied by the quantity of the product purchased (e.g., an additional charge of $10 would become $50 if the quantity is 5). However, by enabling the "One time charge" feature, the extra charge will only be added once, regardless of the product quantity. This is useful when you want to apply a flat fee for certain options without scaling the charge with the number of items purchased.

8. Show "Quantity" for Option Value

This setting lets customers specify a quantity for each selected checkbox option. You can also set minimum and maximum limits for these quantities, giving you control over how much of each option can be chosen.

9. Min/Max Selection

You can define the minimum and maximum number of checkbox options that a customer can select. This ensures that customers make a choice within a specified range.

10. Default Value

Set default checkbox options that are pre-selected when the product page loads. This can guide customers towards recommended or popular choices.

11. Add description for option value

You can add a descriptive text below the option value to provide additional information about the selection.

12. Option URL

This setting allows you to link specific checkbox options to external URLs. For instance, you can direct customers to additional information about a particular option on a different site or page.

13. Conditional Logic

Use conditional logic to show or hide certain checkbox options based on other selections the customer has made. This creates a more personalized and dynamic shopping experience.

Advanced Option Settings:

1. Change product image on option selection

When the product image alt text aligns with the option value labels and the theme setup is correct, enabling this feature will update the product image according to the selected option.

2. Option Value Column

You can arrange the checkbox options into 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns, depending on how you want them displayed on the product page, allowing for better organization and visibility.

3. Tooltip display

  • Default: Display only the selection's image on hover.

  • Tooltip as value: Show the selection image and option value on hover.

  • Tooltip as description: Display the selection's image and its description on hover.

4. Price display type

Decide whether to show or hide the additional price on the slider interface.

5. Show price

Customize how pricing is displayed with these options:

  • Only Option Value: Show price next to the option value.

  • Only Option Label: Show price next to the label.

  • Show All: Display prices with both label and value for maximum transparency.

6. Tooltip

Add tooltips to provide more information about each checkbox option. When customers hover over the option, the tooltip will display, offering additional context without cluttering the page.

7. Help Text

This text appears below the checkboxes, providing further explanation or instructions to assist customers in making their selections.

8. Class Name

For advanced customization, you can add custom CSS class names to style the checkboxes according to your design preferences, ensuring a seamless and cohesive look on your product page.
